Cyber security engineer

• Draft and submit security configurations and operational standards for security systems and applications, including policy review and compliance tools;
• Develop and propose basic security configurations for operating systems, applications, network and communication devices;
• Perform technical security audits;
• Analysing log files and monitoring security;
• Proactively work with customers to provide high-quality advice and assurance on management and technical challenges within cybersecurity and IT and OT risks;
• Identify, analyse and transform cybersecurity and IT/OT risks into practical solutions;
• Communicate relevant cybersecurity and IT/OT risk issues and recommendations to internal and external IT professionals.

• You have at least a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience;
• You have at least 5 years of relevant experience in IT and/or OT security;
• You speak fluent Dutch and English; a good knowledge of French may be an asset for certain projects;
• You are familiar with methods and tools for security risk management, network protocols and application communication;
• You have a good knowledge of the following security technologies: SIEM, firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, security information & event management, identity & access management, remote access methods, wireless protocols and services;
• You have a good knowledge of backup and disaster recovery methodologies, business continuity planning and governance;
• You can work independently but are also a real team player.
